NORMAN A. KLOTZ
Norman A. Klotz serves as President of N.A.K. Production Associates, a television and film production company in Bethesda, Maryland just outside of Washington, D.C. Under his direction N.A.K. has developed state of the art recording, editing, and animation capability, as well as an in-house writing, directing and producing staff. Over the past fifteen years Mr. Klotz has produced numerous documentaries and children's programs for PBS, cable, commercial and educational distribution. His work has been recognized by the television and film industry with top awards including: an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program; an Emmy Nomination for Best Director; three International CINE Golden Eagle Awards for Documentaries; New York International Festivals Top Honor for Best Children's Program; Chicago International Film Festival Award for Best Children's Program; Top Honors at the Education and Columbus International Film Festival for documentaries and many others.
Over the years numerous corporations and foundations have supported Mr. Klotz's work including: the MacArthur Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Carnegie Foundation, DuPont, AT&T, the Ford Motor Company, Intel, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The College Board, The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), IBM and others.
Mr. Klotz also consults with educational, mental health and community organizations on how to best utilize television, satellites and other technology to enhance their communication abilities. In this capacity he has advised and produced national programming for educational and business leaders including: Dr. James Comer of the Yale University School Development Program on mental health/education collaborations. For Dr. W. Edward Deming, father of the quality movement, and Dr. Peter Senge of the M.I.T. Organizational Learning Center and author of, The Fifth Discipline, The Art and Practice of The Learning Organization, on communicating their principles to educators, community leaders and social service agencies. Mr. Klotz also serves as an advisor to Visions of a Better World, USA, an international group working with the United Nations to promote paths to world peace.
